In all cases the first authentic text from the local webpage of Brno is not appropriate for dyslectic learners for more than one reasons: - the layout of the text is plain without division in paragraphs and that might confuse the student - the vocabulary used, if we suppose that the students are in an intermediate level, could be explained in a glossary ( e.g. the orders dried up ) - the original text has a complex syntactic structure, with clauses that make conclusions for the rest of story, so it is difficult for a dyslectic student to grasp the whole meaning, unless the teacher helps a lot.

The second version that is illustrated and has small paragraphs and slightly different vocabulary is certainly much more convenient for a dyslectic student. The layout is more motivating for the student to try to grasp the meaning and the pictures help him to visualise the story and so not to get discouraged to move on reading and comprehending.

I also include a version I made using the Robobraille application ; the text itself begins from the 3, 6 mins onwards. It is read more slowly and it could help in case it was impossible to modify the original text
